At Island Chiropractic, we believe that you are more than your spine.
That’s why the focus is on the whole body. This means that we take care of the joints, muscles and ligaments of your spine, arms and legs, while also addressing the arches of the feet (the foundation).
This is achieved through the use of:
This means it is not only back and neck complaints that can be managed. If it’s a hip or shoulder, knee, elbow, ankle or wrist that has been troubling you, a headache or migraine that won't go away, or you just want to function better, chiropractic may be able to help.
Dr Harding has many years experience in the diagnosis, management and rehabilitation of both acute and chronic complaints and will work with you to develop an appropriate management plan. Dr Harding is ACC registered, which means you don't need a referral from a GP or other healthcare provider. He can also refer for additional testing, including x-rays and diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, if required.
Many patients benefit from periodic chiropractic 'tune-ups' or maintenance care. This means he will also work with you to identify any imbalances in your life; whether they be physical (bad posture, poor technique, trauma, overuse), emotional (stress, pushing too hard, 'burning both ends of the candle') or chemical (what you inhale, eat or drink). He has found that chronic inflammation can be related to food intolerances. This holistic approach provides the opportunity for new health goals.
Every ‘body’ is different and so chiropractic care is modified and tailored to suit your condition and/or preferences. From newborn infants who aren't feeding properly through to the elderly with chronic back pain, a range of different techniques is utilised to suit whatever your need may be.
